FAME relies on people’s engagement and support. There are a number of ways you can get involved:
Donate via AmazonSmile

This is a great way to help FAME financially, without costing you anything. If you sign up for AmazonSMILE, you can
nominate Friends of FAME Deutschland e.V. as your charity and Amazon will donate 0.5% of whatever you spend directly
to us and we will send it on to the team in Tanzania.

Become a Fundraiser in your area
​
An African proverbs says: “ Many individuals in many places who take many small steps can change the face of the world“.
​
By fundraising for FAME, you are helping to do just that. Whether big or small, your fundraising efforts will have a real impact.
Here are a few ideas to inspire you (not an exhaustive list, obviously):

Do something unusual and get yourself sponsored – climb a mountain, run a marathon, go bungee jumping, do a sponsored silence for a day.

Run a bake sale or invite people to pre-order your signature bakes.

Put on a charity concert

Host a supper, brunch or cocktail party in aid of FAME

Go through your basement, attic and cupboards to find items to sell second hand.

Make handicrafts and sell the results in aid of FAME

Give a €5 seed stake to friends and challenge them to turn it into more – see who can gain the best return at the end of two weeks.

Put on a talk on an interesting subject or an interesting holiday destination.

Put together a photo calendar of your best photographs to sell.

Remember FAME in your will.

Put on a gala evening with a raffle.

Organise a fundraiser in your children’s school or kindergarten (Info-pack and speakers available via the Contact Us form)

Talk about our organisation to your friends and sign them up as members.

“Cup of coffee“-campaign: go without a cup of coffee for a day or a week and send the savings to FAME, a medical centre just around the corner from the fields that grew your coffee beans in the first place.

Ask for donations to FAME instead of birthday, Christmas or wedding presents.

FAME is looking for specialists in the areas of Gynaecology and Midwifery, Family Medicine and Clinic Management (especially targeted at smaller clinics and projects.

Become a virtual clinical advisor, answering specialist questions from Tanzania
​
Doctors and other specialist staff at FAME cannot be specialists in everything. This, however, is what is often expected of them in everyday clinical situations. When a patient with new, unusual or especially complicated symptoms arrives at the hospital, it can be incredibly helpful for the team to ask specialists oversees for advice via email or video calls.

Become a member of Friends of FAME Deutschland
​
Through a personal membership with our charity, you will sustainably support the work at FAME and also receive regular information about the work going on.
You will be able to get to know other Friends of FAME at our annual meeting and stay in touch with Markus and Susanne.
​
An annual subscription (tax deductible) costs € 50, which goes directly to the work at the medical centre.
